Copyright Information & Laws
What is a copyright? When someone writes an original piece of work or creates something, it belongs to him or her. Copyright laws are used to protect the original works that people create. Most people can't use what others create without permission, and these types of laws protect others from using what they created without permission. Remember to include the laws next to your medias that allow you to use them on your project.
|
In education, there is an exception to using copyrighted material. Under the Fair Use law, materials can be used for educational purposes. When in doubt and for events like the technology fair, always ask permission. You can use "Royalty Free" materials in projects without permission because the owners have already waived the copyright. Some websites that include Royalty Free materials include Flickr and Free Images.
